Kirsten's Idea Of A Recovery Workout
or
Eat To Ski --> Ski To Eat
Today was a fund raiser for the Barbara Kettle-Gundlach Shelter. Kirsten bought tickets, I bought grip wax tape and back we went to classic ski at Swedetown. There the wheels fell off the bus. The food! We've been on a mostly Paleo diet; lean meat, veggies, some fruit, nuts and seeds. Protein, low glycemic carbs and fats. Very little dairy, almost no small grains. A loaf of bread stored in the freezer will last us a couple of months.
So let's take a look at the menu for today's Brunch Ski:
We're saving station #1 for the end...
Station #2
- Fresh sugar glazed donuts
- Blueberry muffins
- Apple Juice
Station #2
- Bananas
Station #3
- S'mores
- Breakfast pizza
- Breakfast pasty
- Pop, cocoa, juice, coffee
One funny thing was that except for the sugar glaze, the donut had no tast at all, sort of like cardboard. Bread tastes like that once you're 'off the crack.'
We went slow, stopped often, chatted, ate badly. It was a good time. It was also pretty warm, about 50F by the time we finished. Kirsten was getting too warm with a jacket on. I convinced her to give us her 'looks good naked' pose. Thanks, Hon.

Is one of us a Bus in this scenario?!
Yes, you are.
What is that thing that you keep saying to me about "when I get hit by a bus..."?
